Savo Drezgic has committed to Georgia and reclassified to the 2024 class in order to play with the Bulldogs next season.

The 6-foot-3 point guard, who was formerly listed as the No. 63 overall prospect in the 2025 class, is a Serbian native who moved to the United States during DME Academy’s recent high school season.

Drezgic participated in the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp during the NBA All-Star Weekend in February. After the high school season, he went to Serbia to compete in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament, where he averaged 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.8 steals while winning All-Tournament accolades. He also played for Austin Rivers’ Southeast Elite club team this spring on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.

Drezgic had previously played in the Adriatic League and the EuroLeague before moving to the United States. He also competed for Serbia at the 2022 FIBA U16 European Championship, where he averaged 13.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.

Drezgic received offers from multiple high-major schools in recent months, including Stanford, California, and Arizona State, but he chose to attend the Bulldogs.

Drezgic’s reclassification should help Georgia’s backcourt rotation. Head Coach Mike White has Silas Demary Jr. and Blue Cain returning as true sophomores, with three newcomers coming out of the gate as well. Tyrin Lawrence, a graduate transfer from Vanderbilt, averaged over 14 points per game last year, while Dakota Leffew, a fifth-year player from Mount St. Mary’s, can play several positions due to his size and versatility. De’Shayne Montgomery, the MAAC Rookie of the Year, will also transferring from Mount St. Mary’s to Georgia.

Drezgic offers a unique alternative due to his positional size as a true point guard and international experience, which should allow him to compete for minutes right away. Simultaneously, he should be able to quickly learn White’s ball-screen-focused system.

He joins a high school recruiting class that already includes two top-50 frontcourt prospects: Montverde Academy’s five-star forward Asa Newell and four-star center Somto Cyril.

In just two full recruiting classes since arriving at Georgia, White and his staff have signed seven nationally ranked high school talents.
