Frank Ferrer Departs Guns N’ Roses After 19 Years, Isaac Carpenter Joins as New Drummer

After nearly two decades behind the drum kit, Frank Ferrer is officially parting ways with Guns N’ Roses. The band announced the departure on Wednesday, honoring Ferrer’s long-standing contributions and wishing him well in his future endeavors.

“Thank you to Frank for his friendship, creativity, and sturdy presence over the past 19 years,” the band shared in a statement. “We wish him success in the next chapter of his musical journey.”

Ferrer first joined Guns N’ Roses in June 2006, stepping in during a pivotal period in the band’s evolution. His powerful drumming helped anchor the band’s rhythm section during extensive global tours, including recent outings that reunited the classic trio of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan. His last performance with the group was on November 5, 2023, in Mexico.

Known as the longest-serving drummer in the band’s history, Ferrer’s steady presence behind the kit earned him respect from fans and fellow musicians alike. While the reasons behind his departure remain private, the split appears to be amicable and full of mutual respect.

Stepping into his shoes for the upcoming 2025 tour is drummer Isaac Carpenter, known for his work with bands such as Loudermilk and Gosling. Carpenter is set to join the band on their European, Asian, and Middle East tour, where Guns N’ Roses will headline stadiums and major music festivals throughout the summer.

With Carpenter now onboard, fans are eager to see how the new dynamic will influence the band’s sound moving forward.
