The Dolphins are strengthening their secondary with a new addition. Former Detroit safety Ifeatu Melifonwu has signed a one-year contract with Miami, according to his agent, as reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Melifonwu, drafted by the Lions in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, has spent his entire career in Detroit. Last season, he missed most of the games due to injuries, but he started the three games he played. Now, the Dolphins are hoping that Melifonwu can secure a starting role and remain healthy for the 2025 season.
