JUST IN: Ravens in a tight-end situation to loose another Hitman

The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly eyeing Baltimore Ravens left tackle Ronnie Stanley if he becomes a free agent. This speculation arose after the Chiefs traded All-Pro guard Joe Thuney to the Chicago Bears, signaling a potential overhaul of their offensive line. Stanley, a nine-year veteran and Pro Bowl tackle, is seen as a key target to bolster Kansas City’s protection for quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The Ravens have expressed interest in re-signing Stanley, but no deal has been finalized as of yet. Free agency negotiations are set to begin on March 10, leaving the door open for other teams to pursue him. The Chiefs, who have struggled with consistency at left tackle, view Stanley as a reliable and impactful addition to their offensive line.

NFL analysts, including Daniel Jeremiah and Chase Daniel, have endorsed the idea of Kansas City targeting Stanley. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots, who have significant cap space, are also reportedly interested in the veteran tackle.

If the Ravens fail to re-sign Stanley, they may consider moving 2024 second-round pick Roger Rosengarten to left tackle or exploring options in the draft, free agency, or trades.

In other news, The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec projected the Ravens’ first three draft picks in his latest mock draft:
– Round 1, No. 27: Donovan Jackson, G/T, Ohio State – A versatile lineman who could address immediate needs on the offensive line.
– Round 2, No. 59: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss – A press-coverage cornerback with size and speed to complement the Ravens’ secondary.
– Round 3, No. 91: Bradyn Swinson, Edge, LSU – A promising pass rusher who could bolster Baltimore’s outside linebacker group.

Additionally, second-year cornerback T.J. Tampa, a 2024 fourth-round pick, is expected to compete for a larger role in the Ravens’ defense after an injury-limited rookie season. His physical tools and potential make him a candidate to step up in 2025.
