SHOCKING: Georgia Football HC Kirby Smart Crushed By Fans After Shocking Call Out of SEC Commissioner

It sounds like a thrilling finish for Georgia! Winning the SEC title and securing that first-round bye in the College Football Playoff is a huge accomplishment. The injury to Carson Beck could have been a major setback, but Gunner Stockton stepped up in a big way, leading the team to a clutch overtime victory. With Georgia now sitting at the No. 2 seed, they’ll be tough to beat in the playoffs, especially with Stockton’s performance adding depth to their quarterback position.

Following the victory, Georgia football players celebrated in midfield, wearing SEC title jerseys and hats. In an on-field interview, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart expressed his pleasure about his squad having some time off after facing what he considered an unbalanced conference schedule. Following Smart’s interview, college football fans criticized him for his comments.

Georgia Football HC In the Crosshairs of Fans

According to Brad Logan from 247Sports:

Kirby Smart tosses a dagger at SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey.

Greg Sankey wasn’t happy. I don’t imagine they’ll be exchanging holiday cards.

The Georgia football team will take some time off after winning the SEC Championship game, which earned them a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff. Georgia will appreciate the first-round bye after quarterback Carson Beck suffered an upper-body injury on the final play of the second quarter, forcing him to miss the rest of the game. Beck concluded the regular season with 3,485 yards passing, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Following the victory, Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart targeted his conference commissioner, Greg Sankey. Smart argues his team needs rest after criticizing his conference schedule, claiming, “Greg Sankey has had them on the road all year.” Georgia did, however, play six home games this season, as opposed to four road games and two neutral site games. Georgia football played four road games against Kentucky, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Texas, finishing 2-2. Three of the four teams finished the year rated. Regardless, with Georgia only playing four real road games, fans mocked Smart for taking a shot at his league commissioner.

Kirby must be the most obnoxious coach in the SEC.

Who cares when the SEC is still permitted to continue to play an 8-game conference schedule while others, like the B10, play 9. #SEC @joelklatt.

Does he understand he won today’s game in Georgia?

Kirby cries far more than he used to.

Kirby appears to have forgotten the easy schedule he had in 2023 and that all those hard road games would become home games next year…

You played four road games. FOUR!! Cry harder, why don’t you! None of your non-conference games were on the road. There was one ‘neutral’ game in Atlanta. The conference championship game was ‘neutral’ in Atlanta. I despise it when the privileged complain about how difficult their lives are.

Dude gets a bye in week 11 against FCS schools before facing an ACC team, and he complains about rest.

— bd (@bdactual), December 8, 2024.

Four out of the thirteen games were real road games. That guy has to complain about everything 😂😂😂.

— Captain Kirk (@KaptainKaTx), December 8, 2024

Kirby is my least favourite coach. This includes Steve Kerr and Dan Hurley.

Didn’t Georgia go decades without playing a game outside of the Deep South?
