Bills Quarterback’s Wife Sends 2-Word Message After Handing Chiefs First Loss

The Buffalo Bills improved to 9-2 on the season with a convincing 30-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, their first loss of the season. Buffalo seized the lead late in the fourth quarter thanks to a bold decision by head coach Sean McDermott. On fourth-and-2 from the Chiefs’ 26-yard line, the Bills could have kicked a field goal for a 26-21 lead or gone for it. They picked the latter, prompting a furious scramble by star quarterback Josh Allen, who rumbled into the endzone.

“I just felt we mapped it out during the week and felt strongly that that was the right decision,” McDermott said after the game. “I don’t want to be the result, if you will, but I would’ve stood by it even if it didn’t work. I just felt like there have been too many games, as you know, where Andy [Reid] and Patrick [Mahomes] have come back and you kick a field goal and they go score a touchdown or it’s overtime in different games where they’ve been and they get the ball first and the game’s so they’re just way too good to not go for it right there.”

National reactions: Clutch from Bills' Josh Allen vs. Chiefs is loved

Everyone in Bills country celebrated the victory, even Hillary Trubisky, the wife of Mitchell Trubisky, the Bills backup quarterback. “Victory Monday,” Hillary captioned her latest Instagram image with a heart emoji and the hashtag GoBills.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen isn’t getting ahead of himself following the victory. “Given our history, we tend to meet in the playoffs, so again, we’re not there yet,” Allen said afterward. “We’ll focus on that when we get there.” For the time being, they may enjoy their bye week.
