Breaking: Bears Sign Another Two top Sensational Stars From Practice Squad and Put Stephen Carlson on IR

The Chicago Bears have been dealing with several injuries leading up to their game against the Rams, which has impacted their decisions regarding practice squad call-ups.

Defensive lineman Zacch Pickens is out with a groin injury, and with other key defensive players like Andrew Billings (knee) and Montez Sweat (elbow) limited in practice, the Bears may need to bolster their defensive front.

As a result, defensive tackle Byron Cowart, who has already been elevated twice this season, is likely to be called up again for rotational depth. The Bears are also considering promoting Travis Bell, a former draft pick who has recently rejoined the practice squad. These moves are aimed at addressing the team’s defensive line depth in light of the current injury situation.

Chicago Bears sign Byron Cowart - Windy City Gridiron

The Chicago Bears have indeed promoted safety Tarvarius Moore and defensive tackle Byron Cowart from the practice squad ahead of their game against the Rams. Both players were elevated using standard practice squad elevation rules, which allows them to be active for the game without being permanently added to the 53-man roster.

Moore’s elevation helps strengthen the Bears’ secondary, while Cowart’s promotion adds depth to the defensive line, particularly with key players like Zacch Pickens out due to injury and others limited in practice. These moves seem to address the Bears’ injury concerns, especially on defense.
