The Green Bay Packers Add Former Cleveland Browns Wide Receiver

According to several reports:

The Green Bay Packers completed their roster just before training camp began. The Packers announced on Friday the signings of wide outs Rory Starkey and Jalen Wayne.

Alex McGough, a former USFL MVP quarterback turned receiver, was waived/injured to make way for these transactions. Kenneth Odumegwu’s roster exemption through the International Pathway Program brings the team’s total to 91 players.

According to the official Packers website:

Wayne (6-2, 210), a first-year player from South Alabama, joined the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in May 2023. He also played for the Cleveland Browns in the 2023 preseason and the Montreal Alouettes in the 2024 Canadian Football League season.

Wayne appeared in 61 games for South Alabama over six seasons (2017-22), catching 152 passes for 1,980 yards (13.0 average) and 14 touchdowns. He’ll wear No. 2 for the Packers.
