BREAKING NEWS: Pistons Confirmed Signing Of Another Dynamic Star To Four-Year Deal

The Detroit Pistons have finalized a deal with Bobi Klintman, who they selected with the 37th overall pick in last month’s draft. Klintman has agreed to a four-year contract worth just under $8 million, with the first two years fully guaranteed. This contract includes a salary slightly above the minimum for the 2023/24 season, making it a bit more lucrative than the standard rookie minimum salary deal, which totals approximately $7,895,796 over four years.

The Pistons are expected to utilize the second-round exception to sign Klintman, a 6’9″ combo forward from Sweden. This move aligns with Detroit’s strategy of investing in young talent to build a competitive roster for the future.

After his freshman season at Wake Forest in 2022/23, Klintman opted to join the NBL’s Next Stars program and played for the Cairns Taipans during the 2023/24 season. In his time with the Taipans, he showcased solid performance across 23 games, averaging 9.7 points per game (PPG), 4.8 rebounds per game (RPG), and 0.8 steals per game (SPG). His shooting splits were .443 from the field, .357 from three-point range, and .793 from the free-throw line, while playing an average of 21.3 minutes per game (MPG).
