JUST IN : Panthers Set To Agree A Deal With Veteran Star As Quest For No. 8 NFL Comes Off

As the 2025 NFL Draft quickly nears, Carolina Panthers fans have been passionately discussing which position their team should focus on with the eighth overall pick.

Will the team focus on adding a key player to their defensive line, such as a new defensive back to pair with cornerback Jaycee Horn? Or will they address the offensive side, where nearly every position could benefit from a top-tier talent?

At the NFL meetings in Palm Beach, head coach Dave Canales shared his thoughts on the matter, emphasizing that while the goal is always to select the best available player, bolstering the league’s worst defense should be a priority as well.

“When you’re in a position to pick in the top 10 of the draft, you’re doing all the work to identify the best player. We’ve had great discussions about both offensive and defensive playmakers in this draft. Ultimately, we’re focused on making sure we get the right player, someone who fits well and will be a long-term Panther,” Canales explained, according to Panthers Wire.
