Bills Keeping the Door Open for Potential Von Miller Re-Signing

When the Buffalo Bills signed Von Miller to a six-year, $120 million deal, the expectation was that the two-time Super Bowl champion and former game MVP would be the missing piece to push them toward a title.

However, that vision never materialized.

After three seasons and just 14 total sacks, the Bills released Miller to create cap space. Shortly after, they signed former Pro Bowler Joey Bosa, signaling a shift in direction. Bills general manager Brandon Beane acknowledged the tough decision.

“Tough deal. I love Von, really appreciate what he brought here,” Beane said. “His first year started off strong with some clutch sacks, but then he had the injury. Year 2 didn’t go as he hoped, and last year, I thought he made some good contributions.”

Despite his release, Miller’s time in Buffalo may not be over just yet. Beane indicated that a reunion remains possible.

“I had a very good conversation with him before we released him and would never close the door on bringing him back, whether it’s now, later in the spring, or even during the season,” Beane stated.

With limited cap space remaining this offseason—even before the Draft—Buffalo faces financial challenges. While Miller remains a player the organization would like to have back, a potential reunion would require some creative maneuvering from both sides.
