Bryce Harper’s New Tattoo Honors His Bond with the Phillie Phanatic
Bryce Harper has made his connection with the Phillie Phanatic permanent by getting a new tattoo of the beloved mascot. Utah-based tattoo artist Hannah Matthews shared images of the ink, which is located on Harper’s right forearm and features the Phanatic riding his four-wheeler.
In her social media post, Matthews reflected on her love for baseball and the personal significance of the moment. She described how the sport shaped some of her favorite memories, including playing catch with her father and hitting her first home run. Matthews expressed gratitude for the opportunity to create the tattoo for Harper, calling it a dream come true.

Harper’s connection with the Phanatic dates back to 2019 when he signed a 13-year, $330 million contract with the Phillies. Since then, he has regularly shown his appreciation for the mascot, wearing Phanatic-inspired cleats, headbands, and shirts. He even gifted the Phanatic a custom birthday present and used a Phanatic-themed bat during the 2023 Little League Classic.
As spring training begins, the Phillies are set to start their season on Saturday, ensuring that baseball will be a constant presence in Philadelphia through at least the end of September.
