JUST IN : “Bills Urged to Make Bold Move for 9-Time Pro Bowl Pass Rusher – A Game-Changer for Buffalo?”

Once again, the Buffalo Bills find themselves looking for answers after another playoff exit at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs may have looked vulnerable in this year’s Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles (42-20), but for Buffalo, the challenge remains the same—finding a way to overcome Patrick Mahomes.

FanDuel TV analyst Kay Adams believes a key missing piece could come from the West Coast, as she recently suggested that the Bills should pursue veteran pass rusher Khalil Mack.

Could Buffalo Target Khalil Mack?

On Monday’s edition of her show Up and Adams, Adams floated the idea of the Bills bringing Mack to Buffalo, where he once played college football.

“Do we see them take a swing on Khalil Mack? Do they bring him to Buffalo where he played college ball? … I would love to see that. The Bills finished 18th in sacks this past season, so the pass rush surely could use a boost,” she said.

Mack, who played last season on a one-year, $20 million contract, registered 39 tackles and six sacks. Just a year prior, he delivered a career-high 17-sack season, proving that he still has plenty left in the tank.

Mack’s Legendary Resume Speaks for Itself

At 34 years old, Mack remains one of the most respected defensive players in the league. His career accomplishments include:

  • 9x Pro Bowler
  • 3x All-Pro Selection
  • 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year
  • Member of the Hall of Fame All-2010s Team
  • 142 career tackles for loss (13th-most in NFL history)

Mack will be looking to join his fourth NFL team this offseason, and Buffalo could be an ideal landing spot as they aim to bolster their defense for another deep playoff run.

A Reunion with Von Miller?

Mack also has history with Bills edge rusher Von Miller. The two were once rivals in the AFC West, facing off twice a year from 2014 to 2017, when Mack played for the Raiders and Miller led the Broncos. For years, they were both considered the best linebackers in the league, and now, pairing them up could create one of the most feared pass-rushing duos in the NFL.

Buffalo Roots: Mack’s College Connection

Mack already has deep ties to Buffalo. During his four-year career at the University at Buffalo, he set FBS records for:

  • Tackles for loss (76)
  • Forced fumbles (16)

Mack registered double-digit tackles for loss in all four college seasons, twice surpassing 20, and never recording fewer than 15. Returning to Buffalo—the city where he made his name—could be a poetic homecoming and, more importantly, the defensive upgrade the Bills need to finally get past the Chiefs.

With free agency approaching, all eyes will be on Buffalo’s front office to see if they take Adams’ suggestion and make a run at Mack.
