The NCAA football regular season has concluded following a crazy Week 14. There were several tough rivalry games, notably Ohio State-Michigan and Georgia-Georgia Tech, which went into eight overtime periods. Another major rivalry was between South Carolina and Clemson in an in-state game. This year’s version was held in Clemson, but the Gamecocks defeated the Tigers, 17-14, in a clash of top 25 teams. South Carolina scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, and LaNorris Sellers scored the clinching touchdown on a 20-yard run with less than two minutes remaining. As a result, South Carolina is eager to see if they can secure a College Football Playoff spot.
On Monday, the SEC named Sellers the Offensive Player of the Week.

Sellers tossed 164 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. However, he led the Gamecocks’ rushing assault with 16 carries for 166 yards and two scores.
Sellers has been outstanding in his debut season as a starter for South Carolina. His regular season ended with 2,274 passing yards and 17 touchdowns, as well as 655 rushing yards and seven scores. Sellers beat out Auburn transfer Robby Ashford and Oklahoma senior Davis Beville for the starting position this season and has performed admirably for Shane Beamer’s program. South Carolina’s next step will be a bowl game and maybe a position in the College Football Playoff, but we won’t know where they’re going for a while.
