Ole Miss is preparing to host Kennedy Brown, one of the nation’s top young offensive linemen, during their game against Oklahoma on October 26. Brown, a standout offensive tackle from Kingwood High School in Texas, is quickly rising as one of the hottest prospects in the 2027 recruiting class. Over the past several weeks, he has received offers from a number of prestigious programs, including Michigan, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Baylor, Houston, TCU, Texas Tech, UTSA, and UTEP.
Brown’s recruitment is picking up momentum, with TCU offering him as recently as Wednesday morning. His visit to Oxford will provide an opportunity for Ole Miss to make a strong impression as they compete against other top programs to secure his commitment.
Kennedy Brown, speaking to Inside the Rebels, expressed his excitement about receiving an offer from Ole Miss, saying, “The Ole Miss offer means a lot to me honestly. It’s been a school I’ve been looking forward to receiving an offer from.” This highlights his genuine interest in the program, making his upcoming visit to Oxford for the game against Oklahoma on October 26 even more significant. With Brown emerging as one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the 2027 class, Ole Miss’ interest comes at a crucial moment in his recruitment, where many major programs are vying for his commitment.
During Ole Miss’ bye week, the coaching staff has been active on the recruiting trail. On Tuesday, Ole Miss recruiting assistant Kelvin Bolden visited Biloxi High School to deliver exciting news to 2027 offensive lineman Hayden Ainsworth—he received his first offer from the Rebels. Ainsworth, a 6’5″, 280-pound prospect, is still unrated by 247Sports, but his size and potential have already caught the attention of Ole Miss. This early offer could be the start of more interest from other top programs as Ainsworth’s recruiting profile continues to develop.
Hayden Ainsworth expressed his excitement after receiving his first offer from Ole Miss, telling *Inside the Rebels*, “I was excited (about receiving the offer). It kind of set me a little bit aback. It came right in the middle of the day. I wasn’t really expecting it. I texted my dad first to just let him know, because he helps me out through a lot of it. That’s who I texted first, then I posted it. I was really taken aback by it. I love Ole Miss and how they’ve reached out and how I’ve built a relationship with them.”
Ainsworth’s reaction underscores both the surprise and significance of the offer, as well as his appreciation for the growing relationship he’s developed with the Ole Miss coaching staff.
