Jalen Reece, a point guard, has made a significant commitment to LSU basketball. There is no doubt about that.
Reece, a four-star point guard from Orlando, Florida, revealed his commitment to LSU on Wednesday. He chose the Tigers over Providence and Cincinnati despite having over 15 offers to his name.

Reece addressed his decision to 247Sports, saying, “I just felt like it was the best opportunity for me to be who I wanted to be and get to the NBA, of course. I just thought it was a fantastic mood and environment.”
The NBA pipeline at LSU was a major motivator for Reece’s commitment. He notably cited Ben Simmons, the previous No. 1 overall choice from LSU (2016 NBA Draft), and Antonio Blakeney, who had a cup of coffee in the league with the Chicago Bulls.
“Just knowing that players like Antonio Blakeney and Ben Simmons went there, those are people I look up to,” Reece told On3 Sports. “Knowing when it’s my turn to put on the jersey and simply being able to go over there and play. Antonio Blakeney means a lot to me personally. That’s like my older brother. Last year, he urged me to always be the last one to leave the gym. He’s taught me a lot of tricks and tips, and I work out with him throughout the summer. “I adore our relationship.
LSU appears to be a natural fit for Reece, and the Tigers are acquiring a valuable talent. According to the 247Sports Composite, he is the country’s No. 10 point guard prospect.
