The Cincinnati Bengals are addressing their defensive tackle depth by bringing in several veterans for workouts amid a series of injuries at the position. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that among the players working out for the Bengals are Lawrence Guy and Albert Huggins.
Lawrence Guy, a 34-year-old veteran, had 38 tackles for the New England Patriots last season, playing in all 17 games. Albert Huggins, who played for the Atlanta Falcons in 2023, registered 22 tackles across 13 games. Both players bring valuable experience that could bolster the Bengals’ depleted defensive line.
Following injuries to key defensive tackles Sheldon Rankins and B.J. Hill during Sunday’s game, Cincinnati is left with only Jay Tufele and Zachary Carter as healthy options. Bringing in veterans like Guy and Huggins would provide much-needed reinforcements as the team navigates these injuries.
The Bengals will be keen to stabilize their defensive front as they look to remain competitive in a tough AFC North division.
