Eagles Star Saquon Barkley Excited About The Acquisition Of Another Top Sensational Veteran

The Philadelphia Eagles are on a high after obtaining former first-round selection Jahan Dotson from the Washington Commanders. No one is happier with the move than rookie running back Saquon Barkley.

Eagles acquire WR Jahan Dotson from Commanders

The former second-overall pick, like Dotson, attended Penn State, and the college link will benefit both players long into 2024. “@JahanDotson let’s get it #610,” Barkley wrote in a tweet shortly after the deal.

Dotson has 1,000 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons after a great college career as an offensive weapon and return specialist. It’s unclear whether Philadelphia is willing to give Dotson some experience with the new kickoff rules, but it would make sense for all sides to attempt to keep the former first-round choice involved as much as possible this season.

Especially given that the team will be unable to provide Dotson with many touches to begin with.
With A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and Barkley as premier playmakers, Dotson will have a difficult time making an impact in Philadelphia this season.

That won’t stop Barkley or the rest of the squad from being enthusiastic about the recent trade.
