On Tuesday, Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle signed a six-year contract deal worth $33.3 million.
Guhle’s deal begins in the 2025-26 season, making him the Canadiens’ third defenseman to sign a new contract in the previous two days. Arber Xhekaj agreed to a two-year, $2.6 million contract, while Justin Barron signed a two-year, $2.3 million deal.
Guhle, 22, scored 22 points (six goals, 16 assists), blocked 178 shots, had 116 hits, and served 56 penalty minutes in 70 games last season.
He has 40 points (10 goals, 30 assists) in 114 career games since being selected by Montreal with the 16th overall choice in the 2020 NHL Draft.
