Jim Harbaugh went to pursue another opportunity in the National Football League, some players left for the NFL Draft, and a few elected to test the NCAA transfer site waters. He could have stayed with the Wolverines, but there was a Southeastern Conference institution that seemed more like home for Keon Sabb. Sabb, a New Jersey native, recorded 28 tackles, five pass breakups, two interceptions, and a pick-six last season.
He joined the Crimson Tide’s culture during spring football, studying from veterans Malachi Moore and DeVonta Smith. Sabb is one-half of a powerful safety duo in college football.
The 6-foot-1, 206-pounder provides championship experience and the leadership required in the secondary.
What should excite Alabama supporters the most is his reasoning for selecting the Tide in the portal. He gave an excellent statement to the media following Tuesday’s practice.
“It was how hard they [Alabama] fought,” Sabb stated. “That was without a doubt our most difficult game last year, and they carried us through. I could tell how enthusiastic those men were about playing football.”
Alabama was Michigan’s most difficult matchup in the Rose Bowl.

In the spring, he arrived here and exuded confidence. You adore Keon because he puts in a lot of work and is well-liked and respected by the guys. You will start to speak up more as guys begin to love and respect you. He will have universal ear because he consistently makes the right decisions.
