The University of Florida (UF) and the Jacksonville Jaguars have announced a four-year partnership to promote the UF and UF Health brands through collaborative marketing efforts. This agreement includes the display of UF and UF Health brand marks at all home Jaguar games.
UF President Ben Sasse emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “This partnership will highlight the rocket-ship trajectory that UF, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the city of Jacksonville are all on. With this agreement, UF and the Jacksonville Jaguars are demonstrating our shared commitment to the vitality of both the Jacksonville community and the state of Florida.”
The costs associated with this partnership will be covered by UF using private dollars. This announcement aligns with UF’s ongoing initiatives to develop a graduate campus in Jacksonville, focusing on fintech and medical technology. Classes for this new campus are expected to begin in fall 2025, initially in temporary spaces within the JEA building, with the selection process for a permanent location currently underway.
Mark Lamping, president of the Jacksonville Jaguars, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, saying, “We’re thrilled to partner with the University of Florida beginning with our 30th anniversary season. With UF’s proximity to Jacksonville and their investment in our city in higher education and health care, it’s a natural collaboration between our two institutions.”
This partnership aims to strengthen the connection between UF, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Jacksonville community, reflecting their shared commitment to the region’s growth and development.
