Antonio Coleman, a four-star 2025 defensive lineman, has switched from Alabama to Auburn for the second time, confirming his re-commitment Saturday evening during a visit to the rival university.
Coleman (Saraland, Alabama) initially committed to Alabama in September 2023, but switched to Auburn in December 2023. He returned to Alabama in March 2024 and has rejoined Auburn’s recruiting class for 2025.
Coleman is ranked No. 100 in the Top 247 and No. 10 among state of Alabama prospects in 2025. Coleman paid a visit to Alabama in June and was scheduled to attend the Cold Summer Cookout in Tuscaloosa this Sunday.
Alabama’s 2025 high school recruiting class is still ranked second nationally, with 21 players committed. Following Coleman’s departure, the Tide has only one committed player listed among the top ten in-state recruits. That’s four-star athlete Derick Smith (Selma, Ala.), who, like Coleman, is presently at Auburn for Big Cat Weekend.
Three-star Mississippi product. London Simmons is officially Alabama’s lone defensive lineman committed as part of its 2025 class; nevertheless, 2024 signee Steve Mboumoua is in his junior year of college and plans to join the Tide next year.
