Florida has already welcomed the Top247 defender on campus once this summer, and is likely to do it again.
The Florida Gators were among the first teams to express interest in Fort Myers (Fla.) 2026 four-star defensive lineman Kendall Guervil. Following his performance in front of the staff last summer, he received an offer. Florida also hosted the Top247 member for a game this season, and he was most recently welcomed this month for a summer workout with the team.
This was also his first opportunity to spend time with first-year defensive line coach Gerald Chatman. The two have maintained regular communication, but it has also been a collaborative effort from UF, with off-field workers Jeremy Patterson and Luis McLeod also reaching out.
“I’m still building a relationship with all the d-line coaches since they are all kind of new to me,” Guervil told Swamp247.com. “I’m getting to know them well, some of the players, and the head coach, Billy Napier. They contact me practically daily in an attempt to get me to return to their institution. We’re all working to strengthen our relationship. We communicate frequently.
