Until Amari Cooper’s contract situation is sorted, the Browns will continue to be mentioned in potential trade rumors.
When it comes to developing a team, Cleveland Browns General Manager Andrew Berry has always said that you have to keep one foot in the future and one firmly placed in the present. Many analysts and media outlets following the NFL consider the Browns’ roster to be one of the greatest in the league.
Despite the accolades bestowed upon Cleveland’s roster as a whole, we previously stated that ESPN was unimpressed with the Browns’ overall talent under the age of 25. Speaking of age, the dynamic core of our roster is now another year older, and the club should be fully committed to making a Super Bowl push this year.
If the perfect opportunity arose, Berry would not hesitate to add a significant player, even if it meant giving up valuable draft assets and guys who were already expected to play this season. July and August may not be the best months for teams to make trades, but they do happen.
In recent years, players such as Khalil Mack, Jadeveon Clowney, and Jamal Adams have all been dealt in their prime during this preseason stretch. In addition, the Browns are at a stalemate with star wide receiver Amari Cooper over his contract. Until that issue is fixed, Cleveland will remain a favorite when considering potential trades.
Anthony DiBona just posted an article for Pro Football Network on one player from each team who could be moved this season. There were several intriguing names given, some of which were mentioned in this post on their X account, which is included below.

One name that stuck out was Washington defensive tackle Jonathan Allen. Because the position is already overcrowded, the Browns would have to make place by including one of their own players in the transaction or sending one to another team.
