Four-star wide receiver Samari Reed chooses Ole Miss over West Virginia, Kentucky, and others.
The 6-2, 195-pound stud from Monarch High School in Pompano Beach, Fla., is ranked as the nation’s No. 59 wide receiver.
On Thursday, four-star wide receiver Samari Reed announced his public commitment to Ole Miss, setting off some metaphorical fireworks across Rebel Nation on Independence Day. Reed chose Ole Miss over runners-up West Virginia, Penn State, Clemson, and Kentucky, he stated. West Virginia was a bridesmaid.
The 6-2, 195-pound stud from Monarch High School in Pompano Beach, Fla., is ranked as the nation’s No. 59 wide receiver and the No. 55 player in Florida’s 2025 class by the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Index.
“I just feel like (wide receivers) coach (George) McDonald and (head coach) Lane Kiffin can take me to the top,” Reed told Inside the Rebel. “All of their greatest players play in the league, and they are now highly successful. As a South Florida child, I think that’s the perfect fit.”
