LSU football added strength to its 2025 recruiting class on Thursday with a commitment from a Texas defensive lineman.
Zion Williams, a four-star defensive tackle from Lufkin, Texas, announced his commitment to the Tigers. According to On3, the 6-foot-3, 330-pound nose guard is a top-400 national prospect and one of the top 60 recruits in Texas.
Williams is the second defensive lineman to pledge to LSU’s 2025 class. The first, Jesse Harrold, a four-star Florida edge rusher, committed to the Tigers in June.
LSU’s 2025 recruiting class, ranked fourth nationally by On3, is led by commitments from two five-star prospects: Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood and New Orleans running back Harlem Berry. Underwood is the consensus No. 1 player in the country, while Berry is Louisiana’s top recruit, the best running back in the country, and a top-20 national prospect.
The Tigers had a pledge from the nation’s top receiver, Texas five-star Dakorien Moore, but he decommitted from LSU in May. According to On3, Moore will disclose his new location on Thursday.
