BREAKING NEWS: Milwaukee Brewers Projected to Make Series of Signing Before Trade Deadline Day

The Milwaukee Brewers are in a position to buy at this year’s trade deadline. Starting pitching is one area where they will try to improve, but the big question is how much money they are willing to spend to upgrade. Recently, an MLB Insider shared his comments on the team’s approach, as well as his strong opinion on what this year’s team deserves.

MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal shed some light on the Milwaukee Brewers 2024 trade deadline approach.

Will Sammon, Patrick Mooney, and Ken Rosenthal wrote a story in The Athletic revealing the assumed method that the Milwaukee Brewers will pursue at the 2024 deadline. It also mentioned how other teams are interested in their young outfielders, but a deal involving top prospects or controllable outfielders seemed improbable given the organization’s high value for such players.

The Milwaukee Brewers, who lead their division with the National League’s third-best record while requiring pitching help, do not appear to be inclined to fill that void by significant spending or moving top prospects at the deadline, according to sources familiar with the team’s thinking.

Rival evaluators enjoy the Brewers’ abundance of young outfielders, which might be used to make trades, but Milwaukee values depth.

Ken Rosenthal has a strong opinion regarding the Milwaukee Brewers trade deadline approach.

On Foul Territory TV, former Brewers catcher Erik Kratz questioned Ken Rosenthal why Milwaukee couldn’t be different this year and depart from their usual safe approach at the trade deadline. His response revolved around acknowledging that “this is the way Milwaukee typically does it (doesn’t make splashy moves),” but he countered by saying that given how this year’s team has overcome losing Craig Counsell and Corbin Burnes while also winning with a reduced payroll, they deserve to be strengthened.

When is the MLB trade deadline?

This year, the MLB trade deadline is July 30. Trades often begin after the All-Star break and increase significantly as the deadline approaches. It will be fascinating to watch if Milwaukee chooses to spend more than usual before this year’s trade deadline, or if they will continue to make smaller and safer transactions without giving up highly prized prospects who may be considered as future parts.
