Ole Miss LHP Liam Doyle entering the transfer portal
Liam Doyle, Ole Miss’ biggest addition on the mound from the transfer portal last year, has confirmed with Inside the Rebels that he plans to find a new home this summer, contrary to original reports.
Rumors about Doyle’s situation with Ole Miss in 2025 began spreading over the weekend, and they eventually came true a day before players are unable to enter their names into the portal until December.
Doyle transferred to Ole Miss from Coastal Carolina and had a successful first year. He was one of the few bright spots on a team that narrowly made the SEC Tournament.
Doyle (2-4) had 14 appearances (nine starts) on the mound at Ole Miss in 2024, striking out 72 while allowing 42 hits, 35 runs (32 earned), 18 walks, and 10 home runs over 45.1 innings.
Doyle is the 13th Rebel (seventh pitcher) from the 2024 roster to enter the portal, joining C Trenton Lyons, RF Seth Farni, RF Treyson Hughes, RHP Grayson Saunier, RHP Corey Braun, C Eli Berch, RHP Gabe Smith, LF John Kramer, RHP Kyler Carmack, RHP Cole Tolbert, 3B Andrew Fischer, and RHP JT Quinn.
