According to Jon Chepkevich of Draft Express, the Phoenix Suns have reached an agreement with Florida forward Tyrese Samuel on their second Exhibit-10 deal.

Samuel, 24, spent his first four undergraduate seasons at Seton Hall before transferring to the Gators this past season. The 6-foot-9 forward started all 36 games for Florida, averaging 13.9 points and a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game while earning second-team AP All-SEC accolades. Samuel, who has a wingspan of 7-foot-3.5, averaged almost a block and a steal per game last season (1.1 each). The Montreal native shot 56.4% from the floor in Florida, but only 4-for-25 (16%) from three overall.

The Suns also signed Northwestern player Boo Buie to an Exhibit-10 deal today.

An Exhibit-10 contract is a one-year minimum salary contract that is not guaranteed. The Suns can change the contract to a two-way deal before the regular season begins. The two guys will most likely play for Phoenix’s Summer League club and have the opportunity to show themselves during summer practices. They could wind up playing for the Suns’ G League franchise, the Valley Suns, in their first season this fall.

The Suns now have only one of their three two-way slots filled, having agreed to terms with undrafted Baylor forward Jalen Bridges earlier today.

Phoenix acquired Virginia forward Ryan Dunn at No. 28 overall and Marquette big man Oso Ighodaro at No. 40 through a series of draft swaps, leaving the team with two potential future second-round picks.
