The Texas Longhorns’ summer official visit season paid off again on Monday with the commitment of San Francisco (Calif.) St. Ignatius offensive tackle John Mills, who adds another huge body to offensive coordinator Kyle Flood’s future position room.

The 6’6, 320-pounder committed to Texas after making an official visit to the Forty Acres 10 days ago, as well as travels to California, Florida, Nebraska, and Washington. Mills has 16 total offers, with the Longhorns formally starting his recruitment last September.
Mills, a consensus three-star prospect, is listed as the No. 747 player in the nation and the No. 52 offensive tackle by the 247Sports Composite.
Mills is the 12th commitment for Texas in the 2025 cycle, and the fourth offensive lineman, following Port Neches-Groves’ Jackson Christian and Cedar Hill’s Jordan and Devin Coleman. The class is ranked No. 16 nationwide in the 247Sports Composite team rankings.
