Oklahoma City (CBS) Alex Caruso has returned to Oklahoma City, where his professional career began, after the Bulls sold him to the Thunder for Josh Giddey last week.
Caruso was dismissed by the Thunder in 2016 and went on to play for the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA’s G League. He will now join a young Thunder roster following a straight-up transaction between the Thunder and the Bulls.
However, the defensive specialist’s stay in Chicago will not be forgotten.

Caruso, an All-Defense guard who has spent the last three seasons with the Bulls after winning the 2020 NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers, had been the target of trade speculations for years. Throughout his tenure in Chicago, the Bulls eschewed draft pick-based trades.
But in Giddey, the Bulls get a former No. 6 overall choice who desperately needed a fresh start.
