One of the nation’s leading defensive lineman will join his older brother in Rebel Red and Blue.
One of America’s greatest defensive lineman has committed to the school where his older brother plays. Andrew Maddox, the younger brother of Ole Miss true freshman quarterback AJ Maddox, revealed his commitment to the school on Monday. Andrew Maddox is a four-star prospect ranked as the nation’s No. 22 defensive lineman and the No. 7 player in Magnolia State’s 2025 class. The Oak Grove (Miss.) High School product stands 6-3 and weighs 265 pounds.
Maddox chose Ole Miss over offers from SEC schools including Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt. He also had offers from Ohio State, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Louisiana Tech, Louisville, Southern Miss, and Akron.
“It’s a special place, and I love the atmosphere at Ole Miss,” Andrew Maddox told Inside the Rebels. “When I get over there, the coaches are quite welcoming. They make me feel at home. Ole Miss is where my brother plays. I appreciate it every time I go down there. It’s fun. I just enjoy being up there in Oxford.”
