The talented DB from Alabama has offers from Georgia, Florida, and Ole Miss.
Kentucky Wildcats have added 4-star cornerback Andrew Purcell from Alabama to their 2025 football recruiting class.
Purcell announced his decision Monday morning, following an official trip to Lexington over the weekend.
Kentucky recently received a pledge from four-star recruit Ja’kayden Ferguson, who also visited this weekend. It’s safe to say that Mark Stoops and company had a productive few days.

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound cornerback from Enterprise High chose Kentucky over Miami and Georgia. He had recently visited Georgia and Miami before making the journey to Lexington, which sealed the deal for his recruitment.
“I like everything about Kentucky,” Purcell told On3. “The culture, the individuals, and the coaching staff. These were significant factors in my decision to attend Kentucky.
Chris Collins, the defensive backs coach, was the major recruiter for Purcell, a versatile defensive back who can play outside corner or nickel position.
Rivals ranks Purcell as the 35th-best cornerback in the nation, with a 4-star rating. He is the 16th-best football player in Alabama, with offers from Clemson, Florida, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Tennessee.
Purcell is Mark Stoops’ ninth and second defensive back commitment in the 2025 class, joining safety Martels Carter.
This is undoubtedly another significant accomplishment for the Kentucky coaching staff on the recruiting front.
