According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Colts have released Jack Anderson.

Anderson has been with four different teams throughout his career.

The Buffalo Bills selected Anderson in the seventh round, 236th overall, of the 2021 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, the Bills waived him during roster cuts before re-signing him to their practice squad. He would remain on the practice squad until September.

On September 21, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Anderson off the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad. In 2021, he appeared in two games and started one, recording one pressure, zero hurries, one hit, zero sacks allowed, and a 71.0 PFF grade in 81 plays (50 at center and 31 at right guard). During his second season, the Eagles released him as part of their roster cuts.

The New York Giants claimed Anderson off waivers on August 31. In 2022, he played 12 games and started two, recording six pressures, three hurries, two hits, one sack, and a 47.9 PFF grade on 147 plays (64 at LG, 75 at RG, and eight at ITE). In his third season, the Giants cut him from their roster.

The Indianapolis Colts added Anderson to their practice squad on September 12. On October 31, the Colts activated him. In 2023, he played six special teams snaps.

The Colts currently have three centers on their roster.

Starting center:

Ryan Kelly is the Colts’ starting center. Kelly is in his ninth year with the league. He has 111 games played and 111 starts in his career, including four Pro Bowl selections. He will become an unrestricted free agent in 2025.

Backup center:

Wesley French is the Colts’ backup center. French is in his third year with the league. In 2023, he appeared in 17 games and started three of them, replacing Kelly. He will become a restricted free agent in 2025.

Backup center number two:

Danny Pinter is another Colts backup center. Pinter is on his fifth year with the league. Throughout his career, he has played 46 games and started seven. He will compete with French for the backup position. He will become an unrestricted free agent in 2025.
