Alex Bregman, the Houston Astros’ third baseman, continues to swing one of Major League Baseball’s hottest bats. He hit a two-run home run as the Astros fell 4-3 to the Minnesota Twins at home on Sunday afternoon. Bregman has homered four times in his in six games. His hot streak started last Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners, when he smacked a two-run homer. He also went yard in two consecutive games on Thursday and Friday against the Mariners and Minnesota Twins.
Bregman has gone 11-for-24 with four home runs and seven RBI in his previous six games. Unfortunately for the Houston Astros and Bregman, their hot streak has not resulted in wins on the diamond. Houston is 2-4 in its previous six games. Bregman has struggled in 2024, hitting.229 with eight home runs and 29 RBI.

Bregman made his Major League Baseball debut in 2016 with the Houston Astros and has spent his entire career in the “Lone Star State.” Bregman has consistently been one of the league’s greatest players since his debut. He is a two-time MLB All-Star (2018, 2019) and received the Silver Slugger Award in 2019. He has won two World Series championships with the Houston Astros (in 2017 and 2022). Bregman has two top-five AL MVP finishes, including a career-best second place finish to Mike Trout in 2019.
