ESPN: 5-star WR schedules official visit with the Noles amid possible trade

Five-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson has scheduled an official visit to Florida State.

2025 WR Dallas Wilson has a top three despite a Pac-12 commitment

Florida State football has not secured any wide receiver prospects for the 2025 recruiting cycle. In a recent post, we provided updates on two key targets that could elevate the future Seminole offense.

We’re all familiar with prospects like Jaime Ffrench Jr., Vernell Brown III, Joshua Moore, and Daylan McCutcheon. Dallas Wilson, a five-star wide receiver from Tampa Bay Tech in Tampa, Florida, is one recruit who is not getting enough attention.

The Seminoles have had little success in the Tampa area. Hopefully, this is just the opportunity the program requires to jumpstart the pipeline. Wilson has been committed to the Oregon Ducks since January 2023.

Many recruits have stated that they intend to officially visit Florida State this summer. The coaching staff has planned for a large number of prospects to travel to Tallahassee for the busy June 21st weekend.

However, the Seminoles took a different strategy with the five-star prospect, who will officially visit the school on November 29th. This is when Florida State will face its archrivals, the Florida Gators, at Doak Campbell Stadium.

While I understand that Doak Campbell Stadium will have a lesser capacity due to renovations, this will still be a highly anticipated game that I know Seminole fans will be excited about.

I feel it is a wise idea to host Wilson for a regular-season game this season. This will be an excellent opportunity to show him the environment and product on the field as the Seminoles seek to qualify for the College Football Playoff.

Furthermore, hosting him this summer will most likely have little impact on his commitment status with the Ducks.
