Tyreek Hill may force the Miami Dolphins to pay another wide receiver in the near future.
Hill has been pursuing a new deal with the Dolphins since the end of the 2023 season, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. Hill signed a four-year, $120 million agreement with Miami when he was transferred there, but the market has altered, and the deal now appears to be incredibly team-friendly.
Hill’s desire for a new deal has only heightened since AJ Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles signed a new contract. Brown and Hill were traded during the same offseason and received new contracts around the same time. Brown signed a three-year contract deal worth $96 million in April.
Hill’s current contract has two years remaining, but he is unlikely to see the last year, which is worth $45 million. The Dolphins have also recently signed their other standout wide receiver to a large contract, which may only fuel Hill’s eagerness to get things done.
Hill was exceptional in 2023, with a league-leading 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdown receptions.
