Thes San Francisco Giant traded former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and top prospect Mitch White to the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday for cash, the team confirmed.
This is the second time White has been dealt in the last twenty days. He made seven bullpen appearances for the Toronto Blue Jays and Giants, going 1-0 with a 7.63 ERA. He made three appearances for the Giants after being acquired from Toronto on April 20. He gave up eight hits, five walks, and seven runs over 5.1 innings.
The native began his major league career with the Los Angeles Dodgers, pitching for the first time in August 2020. White made 14 starts and appeared in 38 games for the Dodgers, finishing with a 3-5 record and a solid 3.58 ERA over 105.2 innings.
When he joined the Toronto Blue Jays, his luck changed, and he had a 7.26 ERA for parts of three seasons. The Blue Jays designated him for assignment on April 16, and he has run out of options, therefore he has already been designated for assignment twice this season.
In the 2016 draft, the Dodgers selected White in the second round, 65th overall, out of Santa Clara.
